Make Mothers Matter (MMM), represented by Angela Garcia, has partnered with Impact Shaker, led by Olivier Hargot, to design and develop the State of Motherhood in Europe 2024: Unseen Challenges, Unmet Needs report. This publication aims to spotlight the often-overlooked realities of motherhood, highlighting critical gaps in policy and societal support while advocating for meaningful change.
Project Objectives
The key objectives of this collaboration are:
- Deliver a professionally designed report: Create a visually compelling and structured document that effectively communicates the report’s findings and recommendations to a wide audience.
- Present groundbreaking insights on motherhood in Europe: Showcase data collected from 9,600 mothers across 11 EU countries and the UK, analyzing their challenges and experiences in the context of evolving societal and workplace demands.
- Highlight gaps in existing policies: Emphasize areas where EU directives such as the Work-Life Balance Directive, Pay Transparency Directive, and Care Strategy fall short in addressing the diverse realities of motherhood.
- Inspire action and advocacy: Provide policymakers, employers, and society with actionable insights and recommendations to create a more supportive environment for mothers.
Expected Outcomes
The State of Motherhood in Europe 2024 report will:
- Bridge critical knowledge gaps: Present comprehensive data and analysis on motherhood, a topic often underexplored in policy and societal discourse.
- Advocate for systemic change: Equip decision-makers with evidence-based insights to inform policies that better reflect the unique needs of mothers.
- Elevate MMM’s voice: Position Make Mothers Matter as a leading advocate for maternal issues by producing a high-impact advocacy tool.
- Engage and inspire stakeholders: Encourage employers, families, and society at large to reimagine their roles in supporting mothers’ multifaceted challenges.
Impact Shaker is honored to support MMM in bringing this vital publication to life, ensuring its design reflects the significance of the findings and its messages resonate with all intended audiences.
